About Us

The Christian Truong Memorial Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Vietnamese-American organization founded in 2012. The Foundation is located in Little Saigon, California, where it is led by a group of inspirational individuals seeking to make an impact within the community.


Our Mission Statement
The Christian Truong Memorial Foundation's mission is to advance the message of Christian Truong and ensure that every individual is supported in their journey to a complete, healthy life. We teach and build awareness throughout the community on suicide prevention and provide support to a happier, healthier mental life.

Our Staff

Diane Truong

(Mother)

President

     In addition to being Christian Truong's mother, Diane Ai-Phuong Truong is an accomplished healthcare entrepreneur. She founded the Truong Neuroscience Institute, the National Spasmodic Torticollis Association, and most recently, the Christian Truong Memorial Foundation.

     Her desire to help individuals in need stems from the assistance she and her family received as refugees during the Vietnam War. Since then, Mrs. Truong has devoted her life to serving the less fortunate.

Karl Truong

(Brother)

Vice-President

     Karl D. Truong is a partner at Sullivan, Krieger, Truong, Spagnola & Klausner, LLP. Mr. Truong’s clients rely on him for expert performance in complex civil litigation and international business transactions. Successfully representing both plaintiffs and defendants, he has resolved cases through pre-trial motions, favorable settlements, and trial. 

     Mr. Truong has served as in-house legal counsel for Saigon Communications, Inc. where he responded to legal and regulatory issues. Subsequently, Mr. Truong worked on Capitol Hill in the House of Representatives where he regularly advised and briefed a Member of Congress on Commerce, International Relations, Science and Technology, and Health issues. Furthermore, he supervised Capitol Hill briefings and wrote speeches read on the House floor for the Member of Congress.

Kim Oanh Nguyen

Marketing Director

     Kim Oanh Nguyen graduated from the Saigon National Conservatory of Music and Drama and San Jose State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences. She is a frequent MC for the Vietnamese American Philharmonic Concerts, and contributes as a News Anchor for COVT Television, VBS Television, and Saigon TV.

     In addition, Ms. Nguyen serves as the the Entertainment Director for VBS Television. Ms. Nguyen has devoted her life to serving the less fortunate.

Terry Thien-My Nguyen

Treasurer

     Ms. Terry Thien-My Nguyen attended Lycée Pascal in Danang, Vietnam. She came to the United States with her family in 1975 and graduated from Black Hills State University and National American University with degrees in Accounting, Finance, and Management. Ms. Nguyen is currently pursuing her Enrolled Agent (E.A.) licensure and is currently employed as a Tax Specialist at H&R Block in Huntington Beach, CA.

     Always seeking to give back to the community using her professional skills, Ms. Nguyen is currently a volunteer and coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE).

Katherine Au

Secretary

Katherine Au is currently pursuing her BSBA in Business Administration and Psychology, concentrating in Finance at Northeastern University. She has experience in the consulting, marketing, and finance industries working at reputable companies like PwC, Valens Research, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

Ms. Au is passionate about spreading mental health awareness and helping others.
